The worry of parents about leaving their children behind is a reality of migration. The Quezon City Government started the SMART CHILD; e-Habilin! Through the Public Employment Service Office and its Quezon City Migration Resource Center to help the kids of Quezon City-based overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

With this program, the QC government aims to support OFWs who are departing or who are already abroad, as well as their families who remain at home. Their child can receive a variety of appropriate services, such as skill development programs, peer support groups, and psycho-social programs that help to lessen the social cost of migration for OFWs and their families, by registering their child(ren) in the online registration system (qcpesoeprofiling.com).
