Since February 2021, 94 QC-based OFWs , OFC chapter leaders, members and OFC membership aspirants were oriented regarding the qualifications, requirements and registration process of the Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng samahang OFWs (Tulong Puso) Program. The orientation sessions were conducted in blended learning mode via face-to-face and in virtual platform by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in coordination with Quezon City  thru its Migration Services Division under the Quezon City Public Employment Service Office (QC-PESO MSD).

Tulong PUSO is a livelihood support program for OFW groups which provides  a one-time financial assistance grant that supports start-up business or existing businesses  through the infusion of additional capital for business start-up operation or expansion. As a means of fulfilling the OWWAs mandate to reintegrate repatriated and returning OFWs, the Tulong PUSO program is aligned with the Quezon City’s goal towards achieving sustainable development and  to contribute to the eradication of poverty through entrepreneurship and employment generation.
