From June to September 2021, 292 beneficiaries were oriented and assisted thru “Kyusi OFW Kumustahan”, an initiative of the Migration Services Division of Quezon City Public Employment Service Office (QC-PESO MSD).

The “Kyusi OFW Kumustahan” is a monthly  online activity that serves as an opportunity for monitoring of OFW application status, introduction of new programs, and case management troubleshooting. Kyusi OFW Kumustahan also features guest speakers from agencies to share available services to our OFWs. Topics and agency resource speakers changes every month to cater to the varied interests of OFWs. This activity, conducted through virtual platform, was designed to adapt to continuing technological advancement and to the national government’s guideline on health protocols and travel restrictions during the pandemic.

On July 3, 2021,theQC-PESO MSDsuccessfully reached out to69 on-site OFWsthrough the OFW Family Circles (OFCs) from various chaptersthatwere verified and assisted through the 1st quarterly “On-Site Kumustahan”. .The activity, designed for OFWs on-site, was undertaken in partnership with the Center for Migrants Advocacy (CMA) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to enable beneficiaries to access information on available programs and services.

The “On-Site OFW Kumustahan” also serves as a venue to engage with dependents of OFWs or families left behind, to provide them with information onnational and city programs and services.
